Art and CraftspicThis week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we are making colorful magnets. As parents we get a bevy of crafts, drawings, and awards that we like to place on the fridge. We like to display our children’s art work and school accomplishments. In our house we are always looking for ways to hang up those drawings and papers. So we decided to make some colorful magnets using a kit at our local craft store.

Materials Needed:

Porcelain magnet kit

PaintIMG_3499

Paint brush

Water

Paper towels

Glue

Directions:

Open up the magnet kit. Some kits have the magnets already glued on the pieces while others may not. If not just use glue the magnets on the back of the porcelain piece. We started to paint the different pieces and the let them dry overnight. The next day we tested the magnets by themselves to see if the magnets would stick to the porcelain pieces and the fridge. After a few hours of testing the magnets out we then were able to use them on the fridge and hold up drawing and school papers. We even gave a few to my father in law to use at his house.
