This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we are making some penguins out of egg cartons. This is a fun craft to do with the kids this time of year. Since we are in the winter months we think about the animals who thrive in cold climates. Penguins are one of those creatures that can survive the cold temperatures. We hope you have as much fun as we did making these penguins.
Materials Needed:
Egg carton
Scissors
Paintbrushes
Black paint
White paint
Orange felt
Glue
Googly eyes
Directions:
Cut out each egg cup from the egg carton. Paint each egg cup completely black. Let the egg cups dry. Next paint a white semicircle on one side of the egg cup for the penguin’s belly. Let that paint dry. Cut the feet and beak out of the orange felt. Glue the feet on the bottom of the egg cups. Glue the triangle right over the white belly. Next glue two googly eyes above the beak.
