Art and Craftspic This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we made our very own puzzle. My daughter Jordan is at the age where she loves to do puzzles. She does a few of them at her preschool and at home she asks me to do them with her.

After a few times of doing the same puzzles over and over I thought we should make our own. It is a very easy project to do and you get two crafts for the price of one. You first make the puzzle and then after that you get to do the puzzle.

The cool thing about making your own is that your kids get to choose their theme. In this case Jordan wanted to make a puzzle of a Disney pet. I went online and found a coloring page of the Disney pet of her choice and we printed it out.

Materials Needed:jordan puzzle

Printer

Computer

Card Stock paper

Markers

Scissors

Directions:

Print the desired picture on card stock paper so that the puzzle will have a longer shelf life instead of just using regular paper. Have you and your kids color the picture to your liking. Once that is done cut the picture into as many pieces that you desire.

Once that is done spread out all the pieces and now you and your family have your very own unique puzzle to put together!

Another way to make a puzzle truly unique to your family is printing out a family picture. A word of caution though, if your kids see you cutting up family pictures they might think that is okay to do. Make sure you take to them that this is a one-time deal!
