Art and CraftspicThis week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we created some masquerade masks. My daughters and I got a bunch of materials from a craft store for this project. Since we are getting closer to Halloween I thought that this would be a fun craft to do to keep up with the Halloween spirit. The masks that we created were cat themed. The girls pretended to be cats once we completed our project. Everyone had a great time except maybe for our cat. She didn’t know what to make of my daughters acting like cats. It was quite a funny scene.IMG_7827

Materials Needed:

Felt masks

Felt stickers

Foam shapes

Stretchy cord

Glue or tape

Scissors

Directions:

Take a felt mask and design it to your liking. As I stated earlier my daughters wanted to make cat masks. So we added some whiskers, ears, nose, and stickers to make the mask look like a cat.  After you are done creating your mask with your foam shapes and stickers attach the stretchy cord to both sides of the mask. Make sure you add enough length to fit around your child’s head. After that you are ready to play around with the masks you just made.
