This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we made a toilet paper roll octopus. With Earth Day being in the month of April my kids and I thought of doing a project where we could use some recycled products. So we decided to see what we could make with toilet paper rolls. We went with the idea of making an octopus.
Materials Needed:
Paint
Paintbrush
Toilet paper rolls
Scissors
Googly Eyes
Marker
Tissue paper
Directions:
Fill the paper tube about half of the way with tissue paper. Then have your child paint the entire toilet paper roll with their favorite color. When the paint dries start to make small cuts on the lower portion of the paper tube making 8 legs. Use a marker to curl up the legs. The final step is to add the googly eyes.
