Art and CraftspicThis week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad my girls and I decided to make princess wands. My daughters like to dress up in their Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty gowns and of course a princess needs to accessorize, right?

They already a few things like crowns and shoes to wear when they would dress up, but we needed something else. So with that in mind we decided to make some princess wands. This was a fun and easy craft to make. The girls were able to put their own personal touch on each of their wands.

Materials Needed:

Scissors

Foam Construction Paper

Glitter glue

Stickers

Thin pieces of plastic tubing (or plastic straws)

Ribbon

Glue or Tape

Directions:

Take a piece of the foam construction paper and cut out a design for the top part of the wand. Take a piece of plastic tubing attach it to the bottom part of the foam paper. Use either glue or tape. Glue works better in my opinion.

Next cut some pieces of ribbon and attach it to where the foam piece of the wand meets the plastic tubing. After the ribbons are set it is time to decorate the top of the wand. We put the girl’s names on them to personalize each wand. We used glitter glue to write the name. We then attached stickers for a final touch.
