This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we have a break from doing any holiday themed crafts. We made spoon puppets. You can use the wooden cooking spoons or in our case we used plastic spoons. The more you make with your kids the more characters you can have in your upcoming play that you and your kids can act out with the puppets.
Materials Needed:
Plastic Spoons or wooden spoons
Markers
Glue
Wiggle eyes
Pipe cleaners
Directions:
Have your child decide what type of characters that they want to make and what type of materials that they want to use. In our case we just used the plastic spoons and markers. You can use pipe cleaners as hair. Plus instead of drawing eyes like we did, you can glue wiggle eyes that are sold at craft stores for the puppets eyes.
You can also use felt or even doll clothes to dress up your spoon puppets. Have fun making a few of them and creating a play with your kids.
