My wife and I had the great opportunity to take a trip to Boston less than two weeks after the Boston Marathon bombing.
I was hosting the American Heart Association’s ‘Boston Heart Ball,’ at the Westin Copley Plaza, which is located one block from the finish line.
As we arrived in Boston, we felt honored to visit such a resilient city. We went out for drinks at a jam-packed local pub on Friday night.
Saturday was the fundraising event, and the guests included hundreds of doctors, some of whom were the first responders after the bombing. Also in attendance was Mayor Thomas Menino, whom I got to introduce to the guests.
Overall, I was just proud to attend and host such an incredible event, at such a historical time in the city’s history.
Here are a few photos of our weekend in Boston. Boston Strong!
