Recently when I was checking out the latest gadgets coming from this year’s toy fair I found three great and innovative products that are super kid friendly. One centers around fun and energetic music that will guarantee to get your kids to jump out of their seats and dance. It is music from a band called Geeh. Next there is a product called My Buddy Tag. This item centers on keeping your child safe. Finally there is the Sparkup, which is a book reader to help encourage your kids to read.
Geeh the Band
Yes this music group may have an unusual name, but Geeh the Band is great for those with toddlers and babies. It is a nice break from the traditional songs like “Wheels on the Bus,” but it is music that you don’t have to worry about as your kids listen to it. Today I feel that kids are growing up faster than my generation. One reason is that younger kids are getting exposed to music with strong language or adult themes. With Geeh the Band the music still has that pop or Top 40 vibe, but you won’t shutter at the message in the song.
My youngest loves dancing to this CD and I don’t mind hitting repeat on the CD player. So if you are looking for some new music that is safe for the kids I would suggest trying out listening to Geeh the Band.
My Buddy Tag
This is an excellent gadget to help keep your mind at ease. As parents we all want our kids to be safe. To ensure the safety of your child using the My Buddy Tag will allow 
you to have more peace of mind. This gadget is a wristband device that communicates your child’s location to you. All you need to do is download the Buddy Tag App on your iPhone or Android device.
The My Buddy tag system uses Bluetooth technology to alert you when your children go beyond a particular range. Even if God forbid your child goes out of range of the Bluetooth device the app will turn into an immediate locator. It will then send you emails of the time and location it last detected your child.
There is also a feature that has an identification tag containing information to help reunite parents with their children should they become separated. You can also add contact information and medical conditions to this device. We never want to dwell on the fact that our child could go missing. It is a gut wrenching feeling. Still you want to be prepared for anything as a parent. The My Buddy Tag system is a device parents should look get to help protect their children.
The Sparkup Reader
One of the things I love to do with my children is read to them. There is nothing like getting out a book and reading to them before bedtime or actually anytime during the day. I feel that when you read to them at a very young age they not only start to have a love for reading, but they can start to read books on their own at an early age.
With the Sparkup it combines the past with the future brilliantly. You can take any book out there and record your voice as you read them their book. So the next time they want to read the book and you are not with them, they can still hear your voice as the follow along on each page. It attaches to any picture book in your child’s library.
All you have to do is connect the Sparkup to a book and record your voice. Then your child can use the Sparkup any time they want to read these books. They will be allowed to read at their own pace as they hear your voice read the story along with them.
Not only can you record your family’s favorite books, but you can download pre-recorded books at the Sparkup website. I am a big fan of this reader since it still allows your child to hold onto a book and have the latest technology at their fingertips. My kids love using the Sparkup. It is great to see the passion they have for reading!
