On April 6, Disney Junior will launch “DJ Melodies,” a new music video-style short-form series from the creative mind of John D. Boswell, a.k.a. melodysheep who also just released his latest “Game of Thrones” remix. The videos are comprised of footage from popular Disney Junior series “Sofia the First,” “Doc McStuffins,” “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” set to lively musical remixes by Boswell, who is best known for his “Symphony of Science” web series, as well as other popular YouTube mash-up videos.
Boswell joins meme master Parry Gripp (“DJ Shuffle”) as the newest social media star to collaborate with Disney Junior, TV’s #1 preschool-dedicated network. Disney Junior is also in development on a project with poetry slam champion IN-Q, producer TAS, and multi-platinum songwriting/production team Rock Mafia to debut later this summer.
