Kofi Kingston already has a cool and unique job. Just imagine how proud his kids will be when they tell their friends that their dad is a WWE Superstar. For Kofi you can tell that he loves his job, but recently he can’t wait to share his new line of work with his three year old son.
Kofi and some of this WWE colleagues will be featured in an all new animated film called Scooby-Doo and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon. When Scooby and the gang attend an off-road racing competition, the last thing they expect is to stumble upon a menacing phantom. However, before they can say “ruh-roh,” things take a turn for the worse, as Inferno schemes to sabotage the race and cause chaos for everyone. With the help of WWE Superstars Triple H, Paige and Sheamus, as well as Scooby’s new driving partner, The Undertaker, it’s up to Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang to save the race before it’s too late!
Last week I had a chance to sit down with Kofi to talk about the film and how he can’t wait to watch it with his son.
On the film Kofi said, “I had no idea what to expect. When we first got the script it was just my lines. I didn’t know the context of the story. I just went in to record basically lines that were on the paper without really not knowing anything about it. It was very different than being in a WWE role. I got to be that color commentating guy. It was cool. It was just different. I really had a good time doing it.”
When I asked him if his son saw it yet Kofi replied, “My oldest son is three. He hasn’t watched it yet. We don’t really have him watch TV, but I feel like this is one that we are going to have to make an exception on. He doesn’t know exactly who Scooby-Doo is. I have told him a little bit about him. We are going to have to sit down and watch this Scooby-Doo film together because it is awesome.”
Alongside Kofi the film has star-studded voice cast, including WWE Superstars; The Undertaker, Triple H, Paige, Sheamus, Mr. McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Lana, Rusev, The Miz, and Goldust, this action-packed film is a can’t-miss! Full of twists and turns, Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon, will be available on Blu-Ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD tomorrow on August 9, 2016, just in time for the excitement of this year’s WWE SummerSlam.
