Here’s how we’re going to do it. (Yep, I’m doing the same program with you.)

Conquer A Lack Of Time with the “Can You 24?” 2-Disc DVD Workout System from AdvoCare. The program features 7 different full-body, interval workouts that are each – here’s the key – 24 minutes short. Seriously, TWO…FOUR. 24 minutes a day is it! AND the workouts don’t require any equipment.

A cool ColorTrack tool lets you customize the workout to your fitness level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. So you get to set your own pace and intensity during every workout. It’s really simple too. At the start of each exercise, there’s a color bar chart at the bottom of the screen. When the white part of the chart is filled in, beginners can stop and rest. When the blue section is full, the intermediate level can stop and rest. And the red section is for the advanced people who want to push it longer and get less rest before the next workout. If you’re advanced, you’ll only get 10 seconds of rest.

The main reason I’m so pumped about this workout program is because it’s something my wife (Kim) and I are doing together. I love my busy life as a Sports Dad, but one thing that I really miss is more quality time with my wife. Kim and I just don’t get to spend as much time together as we would like to.

You know how it is. When you have kids, they become the center of your life. Date nights are few and far between. Doing this workout together will give us some fun camaraderie, and knowing us, some friendly competition as well. :>) It will essentially accomplish two great things at once: Improve our health and fitness level and help us spend quality time together.

I think it will be an awesome thing for us and bring us even closer. I hope you find it’s something you and your wife can enjoy together as well.

As I write this post, I received our DVDs a couple days ago and Kim and I have done the first 24-minute workout. I’ll be honest. Since I’m in good shape right now, before I tried the workout I was a little worried that it would be a little cheesy or weak. You know, how tough can a 24-minute workout be? But it’s no joke. It can be as tough or as easy as you want. I started sweating about 6 minutes in and didn’t stop until 10 minutes after we finished. It was a great full body workout that pushed me to my limits. (I did the advanced version.) I can’t wait to try them all!

One thing I’ve found is that working out, eating healthy, taking the right supplements and seeing/feeling results all form a healthy cycle that fuels itself and also helps motivate you.

When you get healthy supplements, you want to workout to see if they really work. When you workout, you want to eat healthy because you don’t want your workout to be all for nothing.
