Hey Dad, How Was Your Weekend?

Want to get guys talking? Ask them how their weekend went with or, sadly, without their kids. Honestly, this post could’ve been about 15x longer because you guys gave us such great, vivid little stories about what you did last weekend — you guys are a committed and caring bunch!

Here’s just some of the ways the dads of our Facebook community did (read more on the original thread!)

Davis Jerome: Had a normal good weekend nice home cooked meals a simple walk around town with my little family staying healthy cleaning up the house just alot of life happening good feeling when you sit down and enjoy it. Happy young father.

Chris Guertin: Wife was out of town. Just me and the little man. Yesterday we watched 90s movies. Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore, In the Army Now, Encino Man, Dumb and Dumber, Kindergarten Cop. Safe to say that it was a great weekend.

Christopher Nelson: Awesome I took my daughter to get her ears pierced. For one she’s doing good in school and for two she is my princess she gets what she wants. Then went and spent more money on her. Played pie face, then today we watched our football team lose.

Geoff Huddleston: As a single dad of an 11 year old daughter this was a tough weekend. She had a tough time making good choices this weekend and had to be a tough dad and honestly that isnt my strong point. Just want to make sure she makes good choices in her life.

Kevin Crocker: Sucked cause me kids are 4000 miles away with their mother and her boyfriend.

Jason M Davies: Worked my second job on Saturday, graveyard shift, came home Sunday morning slept 1.5 hours, got up and went to the Booster Club meeting, was elected president of the board, left the meeting and took my son trick or treating (trick or treat in the heat, in Anchorage, AK for those who are wondering) in a little wind and rain storm, went home watch the rest of the Sunday night football game and then passed out. I can’t asked for a more better life with an amazing friends and family.

Matthew Cugley: Terrible, my 2 year old son has gastro for the first time and tonsillitis as well just to top it off. There’s no worse feeling than seeing your little one sick. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Jason Gootee: Busy, Saturday was spent putting up a porch swing and building a swing set(out of 6×6 beams) for my twin girls. Today we ran around getting things together for their 1 year bday next month.

Now I’m chilling with them watching the Pats game while mom is out bowling with her GF.

Charles Walter Forest: Never a dull moment!! Took my daughter to get her hair cut as well as mine. We’ve mostly been playing outside and painting pictures! She likes to us her imagination and she’s very creative!

Mike Peterson: I drove 51/2 hrs one way to watch my daughter play her college field hockey game for 3 hrs and then drove another 51/2 hrs home. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Good weekend and I get to do it next weekend too.
