During premiere week of “The Real Housedads of Orange County,” each day we will feature a different cast member, so we can learn even more about what makes a housedad tick.

Jacques de La Cruz

What is your full name?

 Jacques de La Cruz

Where did you grow up?

Summers in France, winters in Argentina.

What made you want to be on “The Real Housedads of Orange County?”

I’m an aspiring musician, and I will do whatever it takes to become a recording superstar.  The producers asked me if I wanted to do the show, and my first call was to The Count to see if he wanted in.

What is one thing about you that nobody else knows?

I’m addicted to over-the-counter nasal spray.

What does money mean to you?

Everything.  Without money, there would be no Orange County.  Without Orange County, I wouldn’t want to be alive.

Favorite TV Show?

Toddlers & Tiaras on TLC.

Tell us about your family.

My wife is Lindsay Lohan’s father’s attorney.  I don’t want to say this makes our life stressful, but it does.  She works 20-22 hours a day, so that leaves me at home taking care of the house, and our dog, Mrs. Butterworth.  We have two daughters, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  My daughter Lexus lives in San Francisco with her husband Cliff.  My other daughter, Jaguar, is a freshman at the University of Buenos Aires.  Lexus’ oldest daughter just had a baby, Beemer.

Wait…you have two grandchildren and a great-grandchild…how old are you?

I’m fifty-three…the needle has been very good to me.

You don’t look at day over seventeen.  But wait…if you’re only fifty-three, how do you have a great-grandchild?

I got Madame Bovary pregnant when I was only fifteen.  She was thirty.  Her life could be a novel.
