Kids say adorable things, kids say smart thing and kids sometimes will say the most important things. I am constantly amazed at the brilliant thoughts and observations of my two daughters and I know that every other dad and mom has a story about something important their child has said. Here are just some of the important things said to the dads and moms of our Facebook community.

Frank Reyes: We were playing with Star Wars lightsabers when he told me that one day he will be playing with his kids and remember these moments together. He also said he would tell his kids how his daddy would play with him too.

[Okay, that’s making me cry a little bit. This is everything about fatherhood right here. Beautiful, Frank!]

Ryan M. Brown: My four year old son always tells me he has a secret to tell me. He then continues to walk over to wherever I am and whispers “I love you Dad” into my ear. I consider that the most important thing he’s ever told me. Never gets old.

Rob LeBlanc: My 4 year old whispers to me…
“Don’t eat the potato chips. I dropped some and put them back in the bag.”
“Ok”, I whisper back, “Thanks for the tip.”

Eric Thompson: I have boys from 2.5 yrs old to 16. Everyday they tell me how thankful they are to have a dad like me. A dad who gets out and teaches them the way things should be and what’s important. I own my own construction company and they see how sometimes it’s more important to just help people than to charge them to have things done. That’s how I was raised and thats what I pass on to my sons. They never take anything for granted.

Stan Pitty: The most special thing my young fella has ever said to me, out of countless things, one time when me and my wife were having an argument, my young fella came out of his room, grabbed my arm pulled me over to my wife (his mum), told me to sit, he climbed up on my lap, wrapped his arm around me and mum and gave us a great big hug and says “mum daaad, looovvvvee you and gave us both a kiss.
That there itself, is a action that could change the world ! And is the most special to me.

Martyn Reid: My 7 year daughter once informed me we have two tummies. One for food and one for dessert.

Angela Marie: I called myself ugly and my daughter heard me and told me I was beautiful. Just about melted my heart and made me tear up.

Chris Mcloughlin: That I’m not a bad person. Something I can’t accept. Father hood is a bitch. Love of my daughters makes it easier.

Lisa Angela: That he needs me in his life forever and to never give up on him ever.
