I remember back in the day playing with these types of construction sets. I would build different bases or castles and then have the good guys fight the bad guys. Yet I wish these Kre-O CityVille sets from Hasbro were around when I was a kid. Not only do they have cool themes to go with each set, but they are fun to build and are very interactive.
In the Police Station Zombie Defense set there are over 250 pieces to keep you and your kids occupied. It is a great way to teach your kids how to follow directions. I showed my daughters step by step what we needed to do. They even spoke up if they felt like we…..or should I say, when they felt I was doing something wrong. The instructions were easy to follow, but my daughters didn’t want me to modify anything. They wanted to go completely by the book.
As we finished the set the girls and I were ready to play with the figure. One way that the Kre-O sets itself apart from the other construction sets is the use of the Sonic Motion brick that makes real sounds like police sirens! There are 5 motion bricks to make your KREON figures move.
The basis of the story is that Dr. Mayhem and his evil henchmen have invaded and it’s up to players and their heroic KREON figures to defend their cities against his destruction! The Police Station Zombie Defense set is just one of many sets that you can create to go along with the storyline. The other sets have themes that include haunted houses, skyscrapers, and marinas.
Sets include Dr. Mayhem KREON villains. In this case the villains are the zombies. In each set you will find the Sonic Motion Technology. This tech creates sound waves that trigger special movements in the KRE-O bricks making characters shuffle, crash, or swim across the sets.

In the app you have to construct automatic defenses and personally control your powerful KREON soldiers to defend each tower that lead to live-action battles. The more you play the better your defenses get and you can upgrade your soldiers’ weapons.
You can unlock cool bonus items with codes you get in KRE-O CityVille Invasion construction sets. Some of the features from this app are having unique combat maps, upgrade to powerful weapons with 35 characters to play. Plus each comes with unique and upgradeable hats and suits. There are 25 story missions with over 400 replayable challenges to complete. There are 13 types of buildings to construct and defend with 5 mighty defense turrets.
The set is geared for kids ages 7-14 and retails for $24.99. This is very fun construction set and the app that compliments this set is a great added bonus. My daughters and I had a great time building the set and an even better time knocking it down. Then we start the process all over again.
