We live in Los Angeles.  Hollywood.  La-la Land.

Even though I have a very LA job, opening up for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” we live a very un-Hollywood life.  My wife, kids, and I love hanging out at home, or visiting family and friends.

Over the three + plus years since we had our first child, though, we’ve had some run-ins with kids of celebrities.  So here we go…Name Dropping…Toddler Style.

K-Fed

The first time we went to a pumpkin patch, who was there?  Kevin Federline, of course, hanging out with his kids.  Oh yeah, Britney Spears is their mama.  Babs was only about seven months old, though, so there was no formal meet and greet.  Plus, K-Fed was working on a new album, so he didn’t have time to chat.

Kendra and Hank Baskett

They lived not too far from our old condo, so multiple times Babs ran into Hank Jr. at the park.  I think Babs has her first prom date lined up.  I smell a reality show.

Britney and J-Lo

No, Britney and J-Lo don’t have kids together, but yes, my daughter takes gymnastics at the same place that their kids do.  Have we seen them there?  No.  But it’s pretty entertaining to think that we could run into them on any normal gymnastics day.

celebBreckin Meyer, Real Housewives, and Lisa Loeb

Never thought you’d see those three names in one title, huh?  Well, this past weekend, our entire family went to a really cool event for the Corolle, a popular doll line from France.  The event took place at The Grove, which is a great outdoor mall in Los Angeles, and a good place to spot celebrities.  Our kids, Babs and Tommy were running around, playing with all of the dolls.  Babs then started causing trouble with Lisa Loeb’s daughter.  Next she almost knocked over Breckin Meyer’s daughter while racing towards a doll.  While Babs didn’t interact with new Real Housewife of Orange County Lydia McLaughlin’s child, my wife was totally star struck.  Now we can say that we hang with the Real Housewives.

By the way, these Corolle dolls are pretty impressive.  Babs got two of them.  Along with a stroller, bathtub, and crib for them.  And the dolls smell good.  Like orange creamsicles.   I’m not kidding.

Do all of celebrity kids’ toys smell like creamsicles?  I don’t know.  But I’ll keep you updated as we have more celebrity kid run-ins over the years.
