nerf1 copyFor those who might not be paying attention NERF is still one of the hottest toy lines on the market. Back in the day I would be rocking a few blasters of my own as my friends and I would have endless NERF fights in and out of the house.

Most recently I found myself running away from my nephews who were trying to take me down with their latest NERF gear. Each year they come out with new and improved blasters. There are countless NERF communities both young and old who sometimes modify their blasters and have intense battles.

Coming this Fall there will be new blasters from the Elite and Vortex lines. One in particular stands out as for many reasons. It is the N-Strike Elite Centurion. One reason is that you can’t miss it. IT IS HUGE!

Second the Centurion made NERF history by being able to shoot darts up to 100 feet. Yep! That’s right 100 feet. This thing is no joke. I couldn’t wait to test the blaster when I got a few days ago. I had to go outside since I kept hitting too many things in the house. Even my oldest daughter acted like a parent as she said I should go outside and play.

Another new addition are the darts that come with the Centurion. These MEGA darts are twice the size of the standard Elite Dart. Plus your friends will know that these darts are headed in their direction since the whistle in the air.

The blaster is so extreme that it comes with a bipod stand for more precision targeting. To keep with the latest tech you can download the NERF Mission App for your iPhone or iPod Touch for countless missions and activities.

I am known to be a kid anyways, but I had a blast testing the Centurion out. It will be available in the Fall of this year with a retail price of $49.99. If your kids (or admit it you) are looking for the next best thing in NERF, well here you go.
