Paddington-International-Trailer-3-When “Paddington” came to movie theaters my wife and I took our daughters to see it. We were really excited to take them because the trailer looked great. Both of my daughters laughed when they saw Paddington go down the stairs in the bathtub. I think that sealed it for them.

After the movie the girls told us that they really enjoyed the movie. Now on April 28th you can share this great movie with your kids in the comforts of your own home. Paddington Bear was first introduced to children in Michael Bond’s 1958 book, “A Bear Called Paddington.” Since that first book all of the stories in the Paddington line sold over 35 million copies and been translated into 40 languages.

This was the first time that Michael Bond gave his blessing the characters he created to be turned into a movie. Paul King was the writer and director while David Heyman was the film’s producer. The film features a fantastic cast with Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman. Ben Whishaw is the voice of Paddington.

For those who don’t know “Paddington” tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined until he meets the kindly Brown family who take him home after reading the label around his neck. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rare talking bear catches the eye of Millicent played by Nicole Kidman, a museum taxidermist.

The film is rated PG for mild action and rude humor. The Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD bonus content includes Meet the Characters, When a Bear Comes to Stay, From Page to Screen and “Shine” Lyric Music Video written by Gwen Stefani & Pharrell. The Blu-ray will also include the exclusive special feature called The Making of “Shine” with Gwen Stefani & Pharrell. Click here to learn more about getting the movie.  dvd_padd
