Hello David:

First off, I know you are a graduate of the University of Kansas, so I wanted to share my apologies that the men’s basketball team didn’t win it all this year. Great squad they had, though.

I’m writing to thank you for the incredible service you have given to Kroger, and all of Kroger’s supermarkets nationwide. Living in California, I have religiously been visiting Ralphs grocery store, since moving here in 2002.

Typically, I would buy some frozen pizzas, beer, lunch meat, and maybe a few apples.

This all changed a few months ago when my daughter turned one year old. Suddenly she needed vitamin D on a daily basis, and where else was I going to turn but Ralphs?

Babs has been drinking a bottle full of Ralphs Grade A Vitamin D Milk three times daily, and this milk works wonders on her. There is something about pasteurized homogenized milk and vitamin D3 that puts her to sleep like a baby. Maybe because she is.

I wanted to send a thank you to the farmers who are actually milking these cows on a daily basis, but I don’t know how to get in touch with them. As CEO, I’m assuming you have daily contact with these miracle workers, right? Please forward their information along me at your earliest convenience.

With my wife now being pregnant with our second child, I also wanted to politely ask for a lifetime supply of Ralph’s Grade A Vitamin D Milk.

Please don’t send this milk all at once. That may be a bit overwhelming. Also, if you have a chance, I would love some fresh carne asada. You know, something for the old man.

I have been a loyal customer to Ralphs for years now, and I hope that our warm relationship continues. Just have it noted that there is Vons Supermarket around the corner, and they also sell milk at our nearby 7/11. I don’t want to have to switch suppliers, but I will if I don’t hear back from you promptly.

Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Tom Riles

P.S. Let’s get those Cincinnati Reds back in the playoffs (just kidding…not possible). I’m a Mets fan, so my team doesn’t have a shot either.
