Tonight, the Oscars are being held in Hollywood.  Today, in East Hollywood, at Children’s Hospital, the Baby Oscars were handed out.  Here are the winners.

LEAD ACTRESS

Barbara Anne Riles has had an impressive week.  Some of her most memorable scenes include being born, having heart surgery, beginning to breath on her own, and just yesterday starting to eat.  She has been a star in every possible way.  A performance unlike any other.  To prepare for this role, she spend almost 40 weeks in utero.

LEAD ACTOR

Surgeon Dr. Vaughn Starnes continues his domination in this category.  This week he completed upwards of fifty heart surgeries at USC Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.  One of these procedures was on Barbara Anne Riles.  I can not think of a more impressive man.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Lucy Riles won this award with ease.  Her performance included giving birth last Friday, checking herself out of the hospital on Saturday to be with her baby, and being at Barbara Anne’s side every possible hour.

SUPPORTING ACTOR

Chris Rock, from "Nurse Betty."

SUPPORTING CAST

All of our family, friends, co-workers, and the hospital staff.  We are so appreciative of all of the calls, emails, messages, prayers, meals, and non-stop support.

BEST PICTURE

All of the doctors in the Cardiothoracic ICU at Children’s Hospital.  They know what steps to take to slowly bring our baby to health.
They continue to execute them daily.
