The one thing we learned from asking the question “What’s the best part of your day as a parent” on the Life of Dad Facebook page is the same thing we learned from a very cheesy song many years ago, “reunited and it feels so good!”

I’ll be honest, I got a little choked up reading all of these dads describe the scene when they come home from work or arrive at daycare to pick up their little kids. Man, you all are a bunch of sentimental sweethearts. Here’s are the best parts of the day for dads:

Nathan Dexter: Dropping my daughter off at school. I could easily just drop her off at the playground but I love to actually park and walk her there. We have some of our best little conversations in those walks.

Chris Marion: When I pick my son up from daycare everyday after work. I sneak into the room and get to see him playing with the other kids. Then when he spots me I see his eyes light up, the biggest smile come across his face as he runs with his arms outstretched for a big hug.

Kyle Schreckengosi: picking my little guy up from daycare. he’s just playing and then he looks up, drops everything, crawls to me as fast as he can, and stands up against my leg and puts his arms up. I love it!

Anthony Cordero: When I get home from work and they yell Daddy!! I now know what a rock star feels like every time I walk in the house.

Francisco Sauceda: When he doesn’t want to g oto bed and but he still says “nye nye” and gives me a kiss good night crying then 5 minutes later he’s out.

Modestas Moe Pukelis: Breakfast, because it is only part if he gets early so i can drink coffe, he can drink tea. We can be together about 1 hour. I can see him playing.

Devin Stanford: Waking them up in the morning. It’s full of smiles, kisses, hugs, and peace.

Craig A. Wildfeuer Jr: Coming home from work. My daughter hears me open the door, no matter where she is in the house and asks, “dada?”

Mohekia Howard: Taking her to bed. She still wants me to carry her. She snuggles into my neck until we get to the bathroom for her teeth.

Shaughan Gibson: When at 5 in the morning my daughter sneaks into our bed for some cuddles and then falls asleep again.

Ryan Bliss: Reading to my boys before bedtime.

And finally, a dad after our own fatherhood-loving heart:

Chris Guertin: From 12am-11:59pm.
