Inspiration comes in many forms. Maybe it was your grandfather or maybe a chapter of a memoir you read, but for many of the dads in our Facebook community fatherly inspiration can be found on the big and small screen. Here are just some of the TV and movie dads that have inspired us!

Manuel Salinas: Robin Williams in Mrs doubtfire, I want my kid to want to hang around with me all the time, has to be the best feeling in the world.

Charlie Carrillo: Charles Ingles/Michael Landon from Little House on the Prairie. A God fearing man, but he would knock the $^£! Out of you if you crossed his family.

Luke Dorrington: Will Smith’s character in The Pursuit of Happyness. There’s a bathroom scene that as a parent really moves me.

Gerald Lee Wardlow: John McClane from Die Hard, because it isn’t easy being that guy but dad has to do it.

Matt Stickrod: Liam Neeson in Taken. I can’t wait to have my kids be kidnapped. [must read in a sarcastic tone]

Hunter Garrett: Bill Cosby show…..you know before the problems.

Gareth Roberts: John Candy as the Dad, Chet Ripley, in The Great Outdoors!

Tito Rivera: Love the love that Count Dracula has on Hotel Transylvania

Robert Luevano: Definitely Walter White… he’s not perfect, but he does what has to, to take care of his family.

Heath Mauger: Alfred Pennyworth on Gotham. What a bad ass.

Andrew Lawrence: I probably watch too many Disney movies, but I immediately thought of Tiana’s dad from The Frog Prince.

Mark Johnstone: Sandy Cohen from the OC. Watch it, those are the parents anybody should strive to be.
