The teaser trailer for the new Fantastic Four movie was released today and it’s ignited my excitement for the franchise after a so-so try at it in 2005 and 2007. This reboot, directed by Josh Trank features Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm and Jaime Bell as Ben Grimm. For those unfamiliar with the story behind the 4, while traveling through space on a scientific mission, cosmic rays give them all super powers that they need to learn to deal with. In this storyline, they gain the powers while teleporting to an alternate universe.
Reed Richards can stretch his body, Sue Storm can turn invisible and create forcefields, Johnny Storm can surround himself with flames and fly, and Ben Grimm becomes super powerful and his skin turns to hardened stone. While we don’s see all of the powers in the trailer, we catch glimpses of The Thing and The Human Torch.
