WWE and Susan G. Komen are looking to “Rise Above Cancer.”  The two organizations are using this campaign with the support of all the WWE Superstars and Divas. The WWE team will be wearing pink in and out of the ring throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness month. The WWE Superstars and Divas even have their own customized “Rise Above Cancer” t-shirts to help raise awareness and funds for Komen.

WWE will donate 20 percent of the retail sales price of all specialty “Rise Above Cancer” merchandise now through December 31 on WWEShop.com and at WWE live events. Some of the items include co-branded bracelets and a “Rise Above Cancer” hat, headband and wristband set, inspired by WWE Superstar John Cena, who conceived of the partnership last year and continues to be an avid spokesman for Komen.

I am a big supporter of what the WWE and Susan G. Komen are doing to help raise awareness about breast cancer. My mother passed away last year after she lost her battle with breast cancer. I had to painfully watch the toll that breast cancer took on my mother. There was nothing I could do. I felt helpless. Now more than ever my hope is that campaigns like “Rise Above Cancer” will help out women detect breast cancer early.

WWE is not just using clothing to promote Breast Canver Awareness. They will use their TV and pay-per-view broadcasts, live events, PSAs, in-arena, digital and social media to raise awareness and encourage fans to get involved.

Susan G. Komen and WWE have a history of success in raising awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Last year, the WWE Universe raised $1 million for Komen during its month-long breast cancer awareness campaign. In addition, WWE has supported Komen through its “Make Mom Proud” campaign as well as participation in Race for the Cure events throughout local communities.

So if you are looking to help out the great efforts that the Susan G. Komen organization provides women and their families make sure you pick up some “Rise Above Cancer” gear from the WWE. I am very pleased to see a company like the WWE do their part to assist in raising awareness for breast cancer. Hopefully someday cancer will be a thing of the past.
