Prior to launching an education and workforce consulting practice, Cordell was Vice President of Public Policy, leading the Education and Workforce; and Information and Technology Committees for Business Roundtables. Previously, he served Seattle Public Schools District as its Director of the School Support Services Division, Director of Business Systems and Special Assistant to the Chief Financial Operations Officer, respectively.  Prior to joining Seattle Public Schools, Carter was a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow and Visiting Attorney for Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) Bankengruppe in Frankfurt, Germany and a strategy consultant for IBM Business Consulting Services and Deloitte & Touche.  He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame, M.Sci. from Carnegie Mellon and B.A. from the University of Washington.
