He may be small, but one dad’s Instagram feed has been blowing up big time.
Meet Lego Dad.
This 1 5/8″ father of two shares what it’s like to be a parent in a world of plastic and it’s not really that much different from the rest of us. “I’m just a regular dad,” Lego Dad explained. “The only difference is that if my kids get too annoying I can take them apart.”
Judging by his feed, he seems to enjoy the same the problems as the rest of us, only his are on a much smaller scale.
His kids throw the same tantrums.
He conceived his page out of necessity. “I was looking for a resource for people like me,” he said. “But there really wasn’t any. There were plenty of mini-figure accounts but there were no Lego parents, which is strange because there are about five billion Lego mini-figures worldwide. They can’t ALL be parentless.”
Part of what makes the account so much fun in that it’s all relatable. We’ve all been in the same situation as parents and sometimes the only way to survive, is to laugh at the absurdity of it all.
His kids are no different than your’s or mine.
“I’m not here to offer any real advice as a dad,” he says. “I’m just here to let you know that you aren’t alone.” While that may be true, some of his feed offers up some very basic knowledge that all of us could learn from.
Wise words from Lego Dad.
“I’m proud of what I’ve built here,” Lego Dad says. “But I’m most proud of the two kids I’ve built at home. Now if I can just keep them from taking each other apart, it will make my job so much easier.”
Sounds like something we ALL wish for.
