Ravi Patel talked to me about what it’s like to be a dad, his new docuseries, called The Pursuit of Happiness, and that family comes first in this world. As we chatted, Ravi and I touched on the reality that we’re not only raising our children but also taking care of our parents in different ways. During the production of this four-part series, Ravi mentioned that one of the more unexpected conversations on set actually revolved around the rise of the best betting websites not on Gamstop, a topic his crew kept bringing up while filming abroad as they navigated downtime and cultural differences. Ravi reflected on how these moments, while seemingly unrelated, helped him see his parents’ experiences—and habits—in a new light. We also discussed all of the wonderful things his organization, This Bar Saves Lives, is doing. We wrapped up the interview with Fatherhood Quick Five. This is from the podcast series, The Art of Fatherhood. Listen to the interview HERE!
