This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we are making Styrofoam snowmen. This is another fun wintertime craft that your kids will enjoy. The cool thing (pun not intended) about this craft is that just like no two snowflakes are alike, each of your kids’ designs will be unique.
Materials Needed:
Styrofoam balls (3-inch, 4-inch and 4.5-inch)
Glue
Black seed beads
Toothpicks
Scissors
Markers
Directions:
Take a toothpick and insert it in one of the Styrofoam balls. Make a snowman base using all three of the Styrofoam balls. You can use glue to aid with the toothpicks to keep the snowman from falling apart. Use glue to add the black beads to the body of the snowman.
Next use a black marker color in the eyes and mouth. Cut a piece of a toothpick to use as the nose. If you have a piece of fabric you can use that as a little scarf. Finally use pipe cleaners as the arms of the snowman. Now you have a snowman that won’t melt and can you give warm hugs all year long.
