For a lot of people the first movie out of a saga or trilogy is the best one. The sequels have a lot to live up to. Yet there are some exceptions to that rule. For me Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie of all time. So when a sequel to an original film rivals or is even better than the first film that is saying a lot for that film.

In the case for Cars 3 I have to say that this film is my favorite in the Cars franchise. I really enjoyed Cars and Cars 2, but Cars 3 is that film that brings Lighting McQueen’s legacy to light. This movie is not just about racing, but it is about knowing your limits and when you can use your knowledge to help others. As a parent there are things that I might not be able to do anymore, but with my daughters I can teach them what I have learned though my life experiences to help them in their lives.

Whether you have seen the past Cars films or not Cars 3 will be a film you need to watch with your kids. It is not just for entertainment purposes. I mean the movie is really funny and you and your kids will laugh a lot, but there are many messages you can talk to your kids about after you watch it with them. I find with my kids whether it is a book or a movie that we have shared as a family we can open up a dialogue about the messages from the book or movie and what my kids took away from those themes they saw in that movie or book. These talks are not just teachable moments for our kids, but for us parents as well. We get to see what our kids took from that movie.

You can pick up Cars 3 this week wherever Blu-ray and DVD’s are sold or also on digital download too. Disney – Pixar knocked it out of the park with Cars 3. There are funny, emotional, and thought provoking scenes that you and your family will love to watch again and again.

Speaking of fun make sure you watch all the bonus features like Miss Fritter’s Racing Skoool. That bonus feature alone will have your kids asking to watch over and over. Plus we get to see a little background on Miss Fritter and see what makes her tick! It was great to chat with the actress, Lea Delaria who played Miss Fritter during a Cars 3 blogger event. I was also able to see the Miss Fritter’s Racing Skoool short at the event too. A lot of people were laughing at that short. I am guessing you will too.

Cars 3 is available on digital download and on Blu-Ray and New on 4K UHD.

Please note: I was invited to a Cars 3 blogger event from Disney, but my thoughts are my own.
