Babs doesn’t love eating solids.  In fact, she doesn’t really like them at all.  While feeding her, I have to find ways to entertain her.   The only time she’ll eat really well is when she is distracted by something else. Then I can just sneak spoonfuls of pears and carrots into her mouth.

At times it feels like I am performing an entire stage show, just to get my daughter to eat a  peas/prunes combination platter.  Below are the methods that work and don’t work.

Entertainment methods that work:

Harmonica (just one note of “Piano Man,” stops the tears)
Singing (ABCs used to work wonders, now she needs Taylor Swift)
Giving her a bottle

Entertainment methods that don’t work:

Airplane
Me pretending to eat her food
Yodeling

Today, I try a new method, dancing to the “Cha Cha Slide.”  Hopefully Babs will be so distracted that she’ll start eating.  You be the judge.  Watch the video to the right, and let me know what you think of my performance, and the outcome.
