The Superhero In All Of Us

Did you ever put a blanket around your neck to act as a cape when you were a kid? Which superhero did you pretend to be? For actor Cress Williams he always wanted to have the ability to fly. You will hear in the interview below why Cress would relate to Superman when he was a kid.

Now fast forward to the present Cress can put the job title of superhero on his resume as he plays the lead role in the new DC Comics series Black Lightning that airs on The CW Tuesday nights.

About the show Black Lightning

Cress takes on the role of Jefferson Pierce, who is Black Lightning. In my interview with Cress I wanted to ask him how he prepared for such a fantastic role. Jefferson Pierce is not just a superhero, he is a father. I asked Cress about how he approached this role in terms of portraying a dad that has to walk the line of trying to protect his family as he left his role of superhero to now seeing the violence that is plaguing his city and wondering of Black Lightning should make a return.

To find out these answers and more check out the my interview with Cress Williams below.

The Many Layers Of Cress Williams

If you ask him what is most important in his life Cress would say that it is his family and friends. You can get a sense of that after listening to my interview with him. I really enjoyed his take on fatherhood especiall

y his advice to new dads. It was an honor to chat with him about fatherhood, acting and the inspiration of his son’s middle name.

He also takes his career very seriously as well. If you have seen him on TV or in film you can see the passion Cress has for his profession. From hit series like Hart of Dixie and PrisonBreak to now in Black Lightning Cress always leaves his fans wanting more.
