Every dad needs a quiet place or a method of making any place a quiet place (hello, Bose headphones!). We wanted to know where your quiet place is…because we know it isn’t the bathroom when little ones are around!
Where's your quiet place?

Tim Riseborough: My quiet place is sitting outside with a cold beer listening and watching the kids laughing and playing. I’m in a truck all day with the only communication being all about work. So I can’t wait to get home and be with my kids and switch off all thoughts about work. It’s my quiet place but also my happy place.
Pat Houlihan: Sitting on the porch in gray light of predawn looking out over the Southwest Texas landscape or the lake or the ocean as the kids and everyone else is still sleeping in the tents or deer camp cabin. Just perfect.
Yazzie Kalvin: I never really wanted a quite place I always wanted to be with my son 24/7. I miss his laugh and smile. His mom has him but I just loved his loudness.
Chad McEachern: When everyone’s gone to bed. I’m a night owl, and don’t need much sleep, so I usually get a few hours late in the evening to myself and to get the house ready for the next day.
Rich Porter: In my office, after bedtime and working on my college schoolwork. It gives me the focus I don’t get all day at work and at home with everyone running around.
Warrick Galloway: Usually next to my daughter when she finally falls asleep.
Ray Collins: In my bed with the headphones on listening to Pink Floyd.
Aarron Toddie Mondello: Stay at home parent here. If I’m lucky I get to go to the toilet in peace.
I’m not often that lucky!
Cam Craw: In the the middle of the river fishing.
Steve Spong: Out in nature on the trails. Peace.

Matthew Lee Powell: The max volume Metallica ride to and from work.
John Loveday: The bathroom . . . At work!
Simon Ansell: In a galaxy far, far away…..
Anthony Bloye: In between Playstation Gold Wireless Headset speakers.
Johnny Bench: What is this “quiet place” you speak of??
