It doesn’t always work out this way, but man it is so freaking awesome when you and your kid(s) share a hobby. Maybe it was one of your passions that they’ve adopted or maybe the other way around, something your child took to and you followed them. Either way, sharing time with your children by enjoying a hobby together makes parenting better, more fun and helps the bonds between and dad and son/daughter get stronger. Here’s what hobbies the dads of our Facebook community already share and/or hope their kids get into as they grow up.

Jackson Bregler: Video games and guess what.. mission accomplished! You can teach your three year old multiple languages all you want. My kid can beat Ratchet & Clank on PS4 on his own!

Tony Abræn: My son is 15 and has taken my love for cars and racing far beyond anything I imagined as a youngster, it’s the coolest thing

Now I’m just turning wrenches and trying to get him on the podium. It’s probably our last true “childhood” bond before he goes off to college.

Josh Rickard: Flying R/C airplanes! I enjoy flying alone, but it’s much more fun with a flying buddy.

Joel Crawford: Started when I was 5 years old. I thank God I can provide this life for my 3 babies. My boy is 3 years old and already riding his first quad. I am a very proud father.

Dusty Wilson: I am an avid long range shooter. I regularly take my Desert Eagle and ammo with me and visit an indoor firing range or a Firearms Simulator hub. It’s been a while since I went to a gun shop at 460rowland.com to checkout new firearms, but recently, I enrolled in professional Online Firearms Training Courses. I also do quite a bit of gunsmithing. I have a baby girl due in August and can only hope she will be a shooter too! Check out the Durable Acog Scope by Ozark – Great Amazon Deal today.

Zane Alexander Coppedge: Well, hiking and camping would be cool. But i would love if ny daughter picked up my love of gaming and puzzle solving.

One of my destiny raid team members is a 36 yo woman and her 60 some year old dad and uncle play. As they have advanced in age they’ve become less self capable just due to age health and circumstance, now of course she still visits both of them and helps them out with groceries and the like, but hearing them hop online and play games together has been such a heartwarming experience. Because gaming is one of those things you could do pretty much till you die in some capacity, its what i would love to do with my child.

Aaron Freeman: Reading, I’d love to sit in peace while me and my children enjoy a good book of our choosing then After that we massacre people on video games

Dan Parsons: Music. I find it one of the best things for your soul. Listening to it is great, but playing it yourself is a great way to relax or even express yourself without words.

Timi Klytseroff: Well, I’ve spent 8 hours at the skatepark with 7 and 4 yo’s this weekend so I guess we’re on to something here!

John Wade: Anything outdoors. I’ll join in with anything they want to do or choose to do.

Carlos Del Valle: We’re already doing it! Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

Matt Ohrem: RC car racing. Me and my father did it when I was a kid. I loved it.

Alex Gaskins: Doesn’t matter. Anything they love, I’d love to do with them if they let me. For those adventurous nights, enhance your experience by exploring night vision activities. Consider buying night vision accessories from steeleindustries.com to elevate your outdoor pursuits.

Nestor Contreras: We already workout together, she’s 4. She was 2 in the pic.

Andrew Partridge: Whatever she wants. As long as I can be a part of it.
