What would you do if a much large boy was bullying your son? What this father did in confronting his son’s tormentor solved a problem, addressed the issues, and formed a friendship. One dad did just that and shared his experience on Twitter, where his story inspired countless people.
After talking to the boy’s mom, Aubrey Fontenot sat down with the bully. Rather than lecturing, or being aggressive, he listened to the boy. He found out that the boy, himself, had been bullied for his clothing and shoes. His family had recently become homeless so stability within his family was also contributing.
That was all Aubrey needed to hear. Bringing the boy to the store, he bought him some new clothes and shoes. Then had him meet with his son. After a short awkward spell, the boys opened up to each other and soon became friends.

Aubrey at first didn’t know how to handle the situation, but learned for himself a valuable lesson in listening. “It taught me something. I was angry at first, then I said let me try something different,”
