Every dad needs to pack for every possible situation because we must survive no matter what happens; diaper blow out in the mall, running out of snacks during a family hike, gross sticky stuff all over the stroller. Here’s how the dads of our Facebook community make their ultimate dad survival packs.

If you were making a Dad Survival Pack, what would you put in it?

Tarita Ayer: Duct Tape. WD-40.

Andy Rentfrow: I have one in my car trunk. It has 2 of everything for him and I clothes wise. Plus it has diapers, a sleeping bag, a lighter, flashlight, crackers, granola bars and hard candy.

Nicolas J Moreno: LEGO blocks to put around us when we sleep. Family 1 bears 0!

Matt Kunz: Bottle of bourbon, baby wipes, super glue (for instant boo boo fixes…. Seriously…Kids think it’s magic when the bleeding stops), And music of your choice (no matter how crazy or upset my 4 kids get, metal always clears the mood and gets them happy and rocking).

Chris Moore: Reese’s Cups & Beer + Time to eat Reese’s and drink Beer.

Robin Hinchliffe: Tobacco, brandy and a pie.

Derrick Barton: In the truck I keep an extra set of clothes, baby wipes, blankets, flashlight, there’s always snacks and cheap toys that come in kids meals…cars, dinosaurs, crayons, stuff like that…first aid stuff too…nothing earth shattering just things to get us by if need be.

Jim Joyce: Pics of wife and kids first and foremost so I have a reminder to survive

Nicolas J Moreno: LEGO blocks to put around us when we sleep. Family 1 bears 0!

Eduardo Melendez: I’m pretty sure all we need is some water and a basketball.

Derrick O’Hara: Ear plugs.

Andrew Mackey: Whiskey. And comfy boots.

Daniel Navas: My wife. My son and I would collapse without her.

Derien Whaley: My Glock (not for the kid) Beer (not for the kid) an iPad, coloring books and Watercolour Pencils (for the kid) change of clothes (for us both) tons of snacks!

Phil Bates: Wet wipes ! Those things have saved the day more times than I can remember.

Joseph Willis: Snacks and wet wipes, never leave home with out plenty of each!

Kevin Vail: It doesn’t matter what we put in the pack for ourselves because the kids are going to want the one thing that we didn’t pack for them out of the billions of things we did, and proceed to have a meltdown anyway!
