EDITOR’S NOTE: This is a sponsored campaign on behalf of Mirum, but the opinions are my own.

I love the fall.  I love my son.  I love to tailgate while watching football games with my son. I love to have a couple of beers while tailgating. Not necessarily in that order, but I love all of them so much.

Now, the great thing about being a football fan in California is that you can watch almost any game outside, even in the winter!  And in late October, it’s just perfect.

When my team plays a Sunday or Monday night game, I get so excited.  I grill, I chill the beers, I watch the game, and I hang out with my son.

My son loves burgers, just meat and bun, but I like to get a bit more adventurous with mine.  Cheeseburger with avocado, grilled onions, and pickles?  Yes please.

One year ago, everything wasn’t quite this perfect.  My son, my favorite team the Patriots, and the fall season were still pretty great, but I was struggling with heartburn, so I couldn’t enjoy my favorite tailgating foods and drinks.  I would feel indigestion when I was having too much fun, so I had to start stop doing some of my favorite things so I felt better.

I’m not the only one that had to give up what I love because of heartburn.  Close to three quarters (74 percent) of Americans are willing to make significant sacrifices to be heartburn-free.

A few months ago, I made a switch, and it is paying off big time.  This summer I started using Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets, which now allow me to be 100% heartburn free during tailgate season!

In the past I had tried Prilosec, a national brand, which was more expensive, and I had to have water nearby to wash them down.  Now, there is a better way.  I just swing by my local Rite Aid and SPEND LESS MONEY on the Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet. It melts in your mouth with a pleasant, strawberry flavored taste, so no water needed.

Now, I’m back to doing what I want to be doing… watching the Patriots with my son, while enjoying the food that I want to eat.

I’ve got my son, I’ve got my team, I’ve got my backyard, and I’ve got my health.  Thanks Omeprazole ODT!
