INTRODUCING YOU TO BANDS YOU MIGHT  NOT KNOW, BUT TOTALLY SHOULD.

Crooked Fingers

One of the more tragically bypassed bands out there is Crooked Fingers. Whether it’s lack of exposure or willful ignorance, it’s time to get them on your radar. The band, founded by Archers Of Loaf frontman Eric Bachmann, finds poetry in the darkest of places, forging beautiful yet despondent indie-pop. His themes are heavy, but are captured to give the sense that being in the heavy places in life can be fine. Rather than finding hopefulness in the lyrics, what he creates is a feeling of acceptance and fortitude. Some tracks, like Call to Love give a positive impression with upbeat tempos, masking a broken love and leaves an open ended plea. Sometimes not having the answers is all the answer you’ll get. For Crooked Fingers it’s acquiescence to that limbo, the hard places and the hurt that drives it.
