Let’s be honest, Friday night doesn’t mean what you once did. Since having kids we probably aren’t keeping the same company, hitting the same spots, or even leaving the house like we did before the mini-me(s) came along. This made us wonder, what does Friday night look like now for the Life of Dad community. Here’s what we found out when we asked ahead of a Friday in the middle of last month:

Darrell Humphrey: “I drive for Uber on the weekends to help the family financially.”

Eric D. Gregoire: “I have my son every weekend. Usually a movie, dinner on the couch and camping in t living room.”

Michael Rabkin: “Cooked jambalaya for my wife, my inlaws, my brother in law and his family. Now drinking a celebratory beer and watching baseball while my sister-in-law holds my sleeping son.”

Christopher Singleton: “Just watched my little sister graduate college. Her niece and nephew were able to see walk across the stage. She was excited and I’m a proud father and older brother.”

Blake Johnson: “As a divorced dad and it being mothers day weekend my kids are with my ex wife so I’m catching up on some much needed yard work.”

Brion Long: “As a single dad of two toddlers, while my son napped my daughter and I spent some time venturing through the snapchat filters. Best afternoon in months! Gotta love the small things!”

Joseph P Campbell: “I spent my evening having a catch with my boys, Fixed a shower, then mowed the lawn, and after their bedtime went grocery shopping.”

Cory Wildbur: “Getting ready to go to work while my 3 beautiful little angels sleep through the night and wake up in the morning to a very exhausted dad that’s gonna try and enjoy his one day off with them.”

David Crouse: “My son is with Granny so my pregnant wife and I could have date night! So we stayed home and were in bed by 7pm! LOL — feeling old.”

David Boevers: “Cleaning house, feeding the baby, getting her ready for bed and trying to give mom the night off.”

David Borecki: “I couldnt think of any other better way to spend my Friday night. Than with my beautiful little girl at her first baseball game. #bestfridaynightever”

Brian Witt: “Took my daughter to the Prince Memorial Concert in Los Angeles. She may not realize what this means now, but will appreciate it later in life when she learns who Prince was and how he impacted the world.”

Richard Chandler: “Pizza Friday every week with my daughter. For extra fun I took her to Chuck E Cheese tonight. Eventually when she’s old enough I want us to make pizza at home together.”

Finally, Niel Vuolo is keeping it so very real: “Laundry.”
