Zach Aldridge: Whiskey. Just dip your finger in it let all the excess drip off then rub ur finger on their gums. And no it won’t get them drunk. Or tipsy. The whiskey will numb their gums.
Lysa Pyatt: Amber teething necklace. Worked a treat for my little girl! Need a pediatric dentist Purcellville, call Treasured Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
Logan Wayne Towery: We used natural teething tablets u don’t remember the exact brand name but they had Elmo on the bottle and the name was written on a leaf.
Tim Faulkner: We used and still use Camilia. And my little girl teethed hard but this worked like a charm. Usually it’s in the health food isle in some grocery stores or in pharmacy. I’d recommend it to anyone. If you are unsure about them, go read the blog post on MyMomShops. Joanna Dreifus wrote her very detailed experience there with Camilia. Good luck!
Brendan Stanwell: Aston and Parson’s teething powders, although walking about with paper packets of white powder might be an issue!
My parents rubbed Lamb’s Navy Rum on my gums!
Sean Griffiths: I’m not sure of any one thing that works every time. We have tylenol, the mesh chum bags things, and frozen chew things. So far her favorite way of being distracted from tooth pain is to share one of those frozen flavored ice pop things that come in the plastic sleeves.
Meghan Woodworth: Try a peeled carrot fresh from the fridge. A cool raw carrot feels and tastes good to them to naw on and is too hard for them to actually bite off a chuck or anything. Plus once they’re done you wash it off, peel a fresh layer, and throw it back in the fridge for next time so you can keep reusing it until it’s too thin then just start again with a new carrot.
Julie Alexander: Take a dish towel, wet it down. Put it in a Ziploc bag in the freezer to let it freeze. Take it out, and let him gnaw on it. He’ll be wet and messy later, but no more screaming. It worked for my sanity with my twins. I just let them sit around in a diaper on the kitchen floor and they were happy little people.
Paul Atencio: Get an amber teething necklace! I was skeptical at first but those things work great! We used them on our 3yo and we’re now using them on our 6mo! Something about the amber on babies warm skin releases soothes them, I don’t know exactly how it works but it does!
Ben Oglesby: Orajel actually prolongs cutting teeth because it makes the gums tougher! Get More Information about the best practices for healthy teeth.
Sameen Hassan: Try dry pitted dates. Its very nutritious and chewing it soothes baby irritated gums. You can hang it as a necklace or attach to a baby shirt like we do pacifiers. Hope it helps !
Megan Ramsey: Tough Beef jerky. Odd as it sounds helped my daughter sooo much. Just watch them carefully so they dont get to big of bites. Its tough and taste good so they chew on it more and it seemed to help them cut through faster and get the tooth through.
Matt Noonan: Do not use the teething gels! Use a little Motrin and one of those mesh teething toys with frozen pineapple, or blueberries or ice. The pineapple really helps numb the pain.
Kayla Hedspeth: Pure vanilla extract. Just get some on your finger and rub away on those gums. I used it with wisdom tooth pain and when I had an abscess. Works AMAZING! if it didn’t work for you, just visit All On 4 Brisbane clinic and get professional advice.
Mike Underrwood: Mini bagels- freeze them. At first they’re hard which will help with the teething and then as it thaws they become a soft treat.
Derek Malone: Give him a big chunk of cold cucumber from the fridge to chew on, it’s healthy and really worked wonders with both my little ones!
