About Chris Gilligan

Chris Gilligan is the co-executive producer and supervising director of Disney Junior’s heartfelt animated series T.O.T.S., which chronicles the hilarious adventures of best friends Pip and Freddy, a tenacious penguin and a kind-hearted flamingo, who are the only non-stork delivery birds in-training at Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.).

A 30-year veteran of film, television and animation, Gilligan served as executive producer and director of Disney Junior’s fairytale-inspired animated series Goldie & Bear. His other credits include Disney’s James and the Giant Peach, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who, Robots and Oscar®-nominated Frankenweenie. Gilligan currently serves as co-owner of the independent feature film company Wild Invention, which executive produced the multi-nominated The Loneliest Planet and The Lifeguard.

A graduate of Philadelphia’s University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and animation, Gilligan currently resides in New York City with his wife and two children.

Disney Junior has ordered a second season of the animated series T.O.T.S. ahead of the series debut, Friday, June 14th (9:00 A.M. EDT/PDT)—on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. The comedy follows the adventures of best friends Pip and Freddy, a tenacious penguin and a kind-hearted flamingo, who are the only non-stork delivery birds in-training at Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.). Designed for kids age 2-7, T.O.T.S. stories suggest themes of positively interacting with and nurturing others while celebrating each other’s differences. Every episode has an original song and the recurring delivery anthem Bringing This Baby Home.
