The Best Thing and The Hardest Thing About Being A Dad
Nick Hell: The best thing is a random hug, high five or kiss from your kids.
Worst thing is knowing that sometimes being the bad guy is the only way they learn.
William Kennedy: The hardest: watching them make decisions you know will blow up in their face, because you have to.
Best: when their next decision is a better one.
Alan Wood: Having my son is the best thing in the world, watching him grow, loving him.
The worst is trying to stop but watching his mother walk away from us both for sex, drugs, and to be “self sufficient” in her words. As if we weren’t enough to fill her heart.
Eric Clayton: Watching my son grow into an amazing little man.
Watching my family dynamic fracture under the weight of our struggles.
Tony Carnevale: Best is playing with my daughter and making her laugh as hard as possible.
Worst is I only see her for 2.5 days every 2 WEEKS…. feels worse than death.
Kris Anthony: The best : watching them grow up and their personalities blossom random hugs and kisses etc little smiles, laughter and unconditional love.
The hardest: knowing one day they’ll grow up and not need you any more and they have to face this big tough world on their own.
John Byrd: Best – Being able to make everything ok just by being there.
Worst – Keeping my mouth shut and letting him fail so he will learn instead of feeding him the answers.
Dylan Gilleo: Best part is my daughter and wife waiting for me in the driveway to greet me with hugs and kisses.
Worst part is when I have to discipline her for being bad i hurts me to see her cry but she understands after.
Eleazar Aguilar Jr. Being called dad. I’m a dad. My boys are my world. Hardest thing is watching them grow in this world that is changing so much and scared that I won’t always be there to guide them.
Mike Gallagher: The hardest: seeing him suffer while getting chemo treatment.
The best: knowing that I’ll be there for him.
