Having children is amazing, of course, but what specifically about being a dad blows your mind? We wanted to know so we asked the millions of dads on our Facebook page! Here’s a small taste at what amazes us!
As a dad, what amazes you?

Chris Taylor: That all 3 of my girls have adapted different combinations of my wife and I.
The 8 year old smart, sassy sarcastic, emotional and bossy one.
The 6 year old cute, energetic, lovey dovey, Dr Jeckyl/ Mr Hyde one
The 2 year old center of attention, sweet, bully to her older sisters, practical joker.
Not sure if I should be amazed or afraid!
Nigel Ingersoll: What Amazes Me by having a child is I have 50/50 custody and I still have to pay child support because my ex-wife is too irresponsible to keep a job and needs assistance so somehow that’s my fucking problem??? I love my son, but damn I wish my ex wife would step it up.
Scott Shill: That one minute my daughter is the deepest, most complex and inspirational Philosopher this world has ever known, and the next minute she’s talking about poop.
Anthony Mihalovich: How I can call my sons name 100 times and he doesn’t turn his head but if open a bag of chips he will run all the way down from his room to ask for chips!
Brett Adams: How paradoxically easy AND hard it is to raise a child. It doesn’t seem possible to be both!
Alejandro Parés: The energy my daughter has! I don’t recall having the same energy when I was a kid. She gets up at 6 am everyday, I used to sleep until 11am!
Andrew Colver: How much I can love something and be deathly afraid of it at the same time. I love my kids unconditionally but I am deathly afraid of letting them down not being a good enough father figuring out how to manage a work family balance and trying to give their amazing mother the attention and affection and the kids the attention and love they all deserve.
James Perry: How smart a two year old can be. And how much I want to provide. Before my boy I never even wanted a house. Just a little apartment and plenty money to spend. Now I want a house for my family.
Richard Sidney Orme: Watching my younger teenage son discover girls and the dating scene, he’s in for a shock!
Mitchell Peterson: That an idiot like me could make 2 kids that are smarter and more well behaved than nearly every kid the same age.
Scott Aitken: The sparkle in her eye and the cheeky smile that welcomes me when I get home from a hard days graft!
Alex Goncalves: The changes my son goes through right before my eyes and the fact that I have never experienced the type of love that I have for him before.
Steven Lowles: The ability kids have to destroy an entire house with a single cookie
Umm Miller: What amazes me is how I parent all 5 of mine the same but how they all have their own individual personalities and are all so different!
Brandon Barnett: That my son knows right where to hide the Legos so I step on them
Danny Osmond: That when it comes to bed time there is no one more thirsty than your child.
Abrar Dar: People with no children, giving advice on how to raise a child!!
