We knew you would all say “Being a Dad!” when we asked what motivates you but still, we wanted to read all about how your kids, how their hugs, how them saying “I Love You, Daddy” motivates you as a dad to be better in every way.

You didn’t disappoint.

Here’s what motivates you, dad.

Hey dads, what motivates you?

Posted by Life of Dad on Sunday, April 23, 2017

Barry Xavier: Being able to make the future better by raising my child to the best of my ability and provide for her every opportunity, piece of knowledge, and perspective I can to help her succeed to her greatest potential so that she may know true happiness and fulfillment in life.

Ash Blackshaw: Giving my son what I never had as a child, a father. I swore before he was born that he wouldn’t be abandoned the way I was. And now he’s my best friend and a real chip off the old block.

Richard Busacca Jr.: When you’re working all day and night and think about what you can do with your kids and where you can take them so they can remember daddy being in their childhood rather than someone who just worked all the time.

Mike Story: Ensuring my children make it further in their education than I did. Pushing them to succeed where they can and guiding them in the right direction while sitting by and allowing them to make small but educational mistakes.

Kurt Lenton: My 5 year old son that I get 3 weekends a month with….when I drop him off, he thanks me for teaching him so much stuff and having a good time on the weekend.

Treb Howard: I currently have a Stork headed my way.
Thankfully no overnight deliveries. Package is expected to be delivered in less then a month.
My motivation as of now.

Jae Jones: My daughter telling me to give her a kiss after I give mommy a kiss before I walk out the door as if I’ll forget one day. LOL! Never!

James Bryan: Providing a better life than I had as a child. Go break my back and give my blood an sweat so they don’t have to labor through life.

Mark Robinson: When I see her and she has grown so much the last time I saw her.
New songs, new little jokes.
Makes everything worthwhile.
The hugs.
Can’t beat the hugs.

Richard Barrett: Leaving a legacy for my son in every way possible: financial, mental, emotional, etc.

Brian Strickland: Raising my five sons by myself is overwhelming in itself. Trying to mold them into caring smart young men.

Life of a Single Dad: It’s always the little things. Like when my daughter reads me a Dr. Seuss book or when she leaves me little notes that say “I love you Daddy.” It reinvigorates the soul.
