This blog post is the center of the Venn Diagram between fatherhood and Star Wars.

We asked the Life of Dad community to tell us which Star Wars character they are most like. We heard nearly every name…but no YODA???!!!

Aaron Hernandez Jr. I’m that one storm trooper that hits his head on the door in a new hope, hands down.

Ren Wundenberg: Senator Palpatine I think. I tend to be willing to smile when necessary, but working hard behind the scenes to ensure our little world matches my plan.

Josh Rickard: I would have to say Obi-Wan.
I’m always educating and pushing my boy outside of his comfort zone to learn new things on his own, plus provide knowledge along the way.

Cheyne Morgan: I think Jar Jar Binks. My little boy and I are always trying to out do each other trying to talk like him. My son gives up and tells me I’m too much like Jar Jar Binks.

Carlos Del Valle: Jango Fett!!!!! Grab my son and go do what needs to be done without answering to anyone except myself

Jay Clark: Darth Vader I might be a bit hard on my kid but at the end IM HER FATHER and I love her and I’ll give it all up like he did at the end.

Justin Delaney Lately: Kylo Ren. Especially when my kids frustrate me and I want to have a freak out and scream!!

Brian Hodge: Twenty years ago, I was Han Solo. Now, I’m Jar-Jar Binks.

Joshua Pickard: Galen Erso. I work for an evil empire but strive for my kid to have a better life.

Albert Adrian Mcafee: Admiral Akbar. Because I look like Admiral Akbar and I constantly yell “ITS A TRAP!” in my wife’s face. I’m worried she may divorce me one day.

Josh Young: I feel like the Sarlacc right now. Sedentary and tasked with taking care of a lot of problems.

Devin Stanford: Dexter Jettster because I’m always cooking. And do enough to keep four arms busy.

Neal Vallejos: some days I feel like one of the guards that gets pushed into the sarlacc pit.

Neil Beckman: Chewbacca – my gripes and groans fall are never understood or acknowledged.

Damien Walker: The bartender in the cantina on Tattooine. My kids are the creatures

Damien Walker: The bartender in the cantina on Tattooine. My kids are the creatures.

We’re pretty sure this isn’t a Star Wars character but we TOTALLY get it, Ben Federspiel: Which one says “God damn it” under his breath 50 times a day?
