This week for our Art and Crafts segment here at Life of Dad we wrap up the St. Patrick’s Day theme with creating a Leprechaun face. Your kids will love painting, coloring, and creating their own personal Leprechaun.
Materials Needed:
Paper plate
Orange paint
Paint brush
Scissors
Glue
Green, black and gold construction paper
Black crayon or marker
Directions:
Let your child paint the outside rim of a paper plate orange. After it dries, cut slits around the paper plate, making a Leprechaun beard. Next add eyes, a nose, and a mouth to the face. Then you and your kids can cut out a Leprechaun hat from green construction paper. Next cut a 1-2 inch wide strip from black construction paper, and glue it to the Leprechaun hat.
Next let your child draw and cut a buckle from the gold construction paper and glue it on to the Leprechaun hat. After the hat is completed glue it on the head of the Leprechaun. Now your children have their very own Leprechaun.
