reign-on-crown-royalSome say that the Chicago Bulls should tank their season since their number one guy, Derrick Rose is out for the rest of the year. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is not of that mindset. After last night’s triple overtime win it looks the team is on the same page with their coach.  The 128-125 triple overtime victory over the Orlando Magic had the Bulls locker room buzzing with excitement.

The Bulls rallied from a 15-point, third-quarter deficit. Joakim Noah’s performance led the way last night. Noah finished with 26 points and 19 rebounds. Joakim has snagged at least 10 rebounds in 10 straight games.

“Joakim was just incredible throughout,” Thibodeau said.

With Rose sidelined with injury and Luol Deng sent to Cleveland Jimmy Butler saw plenty of action last night. Butler played 60 minutes which set a regular-season franchise record for Chicago.

“We’re grimy and we play as a team,” Butler said. “There’s no guy who doesn’t give all their effort on every single play. When you play like that, good things happen. The basketball gods will reward you.”

On the flipside the Magic now lost 10 straight games. Orlando did lead 125-122, but Noah scored a quick bucket and forced a jump ball which solidified a Bulls victory.

“We just found a way,” Noah said. “That’s what it’s all about.”noah

Noah kept finding a way for his team. In waning moments of the second overtime Noah tipped in a rebound to give the Bulls a three point lead. Yet the Magic’s Glen Davis scored a 3-pointer with 4.2 seconds left to force a third overtime.

Yet when all was said and done the Bulls had the drive to get the victory and #ReignOn. My team from Chicago looks to be not backing down this season. I will be sharing my thoughts this year as the Bulls continue to play hard for coach Tom Thibodeau for the Crown Royal #ReignOn campaign.
