We are just starting 2016 and Ford and LEGO look to make some headlines already. Ford and LEGO are teaming up and look to make an announcement at 7 pm on January 11. Above is a teaser video of what you might expect from them. To me this collaboration is a no-brainer. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. It seems they will be calling it Speed Champions.

My family and I are huge LEGO fans and we love building things together. It is a great way to bond with your kids. You sit down together and just build and talk. As a father I love those moments. Now Ford is bringing something new to the LEGO world and soon we will all know what the two iconic companies have up their collective sleeves.

Ford is also working with another fun toy company. Kids can get their very first Ford GT when they stop by the Ford stand at the North American International Auto Show in January. Ford is giving away Revell-built Ford GT model snap kits. If you can’t make it to the auto show you can still get your hands on the retail line in April.

The auto show kit includes 14 pieces for easy assembly in just a few minutes, and will feature a unique auto show stamp on the bottom to signify the special edition. The retail model is more detailed; it has 28 pieces and will take 10 to 15 minutes to build. The retail kit will be widely available to purchase for $14.99.

Ford has worked with Illinois-based Revell to build snap kits for auto shows and for retail sale since 2013. The licensing agreement started with Mustang, followed by a Raptor version. So which collaboration are you most looking forward to? For me it is a tough call.
