Today we feature another fantastic dad and the mastermind behind Dad of Divas, Chris Lewis!

chrisI am a father of two girls who everyday works to regain control of my kingdom. Is this even possible in a divadom? This blog is dedicated to chronicling my experiences and challenges in being a father as well as providing some food for thought to other dads. History of this Blog – I started writing this blog full time in January 2008 prior to my second daughters’ birth. Since then, the blog has exponentially grown and I have continued to find my groove through both reading and networking with other bloggers as well as writing on a myriad of varying topics. Outside of home I am a Student Affairs Professional who has been working in the field of College Administration now for 12 years with extensive experience in precollege planning, admission, advising, and other areas.

My first memory as a father is…

Holding my daughter for the first time and being with her for her first bath in the hospital.

The funniest thing my kids do is…

Doing funny videos or skits…making up silly songs

What’s in your man cave?

Flat screen and surround sound – nice pad!

My wife is my hero because…

She does an amazing job of managing the kids and the home while also working part time. She balances so much and I admire her for it!

How many hours of sleep do you get each night?

Probably about 6 hours of sleep

How many hours of sleep did you get before you became a father?

Maybe about 7-8

What did you get your baby’s Mama for Mother’s Day?

We got her a Pandora-like bracelet.

If you your wife could vacation without your kids, where would you go?

Hawaii or Fiji or some other tropical island!

If you could go on any vacation with your kids, where would you go?

Probably Walt Disney World!

What’s your favorite meal?

Meatloaf!!!

What’s your favorite meal to cook for your kids?

Quesadillas

How are you like your own dad?

Overly involved and trying to balance a lot on my plate while still being a great dad!

My most traumatic parenting experience was when…

Having my child in the hospital for surgery and seeing the fear in her eyes and the waiting afterward!

What sports team must your kids like?

I have mixed loyalties so I let my kids decide!

What sports team can your kids never like?

I don’t limit the kids in this way.

Describe your perfect Father’s Day.

Taking time out with the kids doing things together like geocaching or some other fun activity together and then a nice meal together as a family.
