Babs meet Bo.

Bo meet Babs.

Babs is a baby.

Bo is a dog.

See Bo run.

Hear Babs cry.

See Bo eat.

Hear Babs burp.

Bo is a good boy.

Babs is a good girl.

Allright, as you can see, our baby and our dog can be a children’s book.

The characters:

Barbara Anne….our baby, who you know much about already.

Bo….a.k.a. Mr. BoJangles. He’s is our 9 year old Wheaten Terrier mix. For those of you not familiar with Bo, he’s a bit of a celebrity. He had a nationwide tour last summer, fulfilling many lifelong dreams in Bo’s Bucket List. To read more about Bo’s Bucket List, click below:

Anyway, when our gorgeous baby was in the hospital, Bo spent a few weeks down at his vacation home, with his grandparents in Ladera Ranch, CA. (Rated as the safest town in the history of the Milky Way Galaxy)

When Baby Barbara came home, Lucy and I were very curious to see how Babs and Bo would do together. Bo had a run of the house, now there was somebody new and smaller then him here. How would he react? Would Barbara be frightened by his barking? We had even sent a few of Barbara’s hospital blankets to Bo, just so he could get familiar with the scent.

Drumroll please……And the big moment when the met, what happened?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Bo gave Babs a quick sniff, and then took a nap. And it turns out that Babs could care less about Bo’s barking, as she got very used to it “in utero™”

Are you curious why there is a trademark symbol next to “in utero™?” For some reason, I like that term, so I’m looking into getting it trademarked. I want to own that term. Imagine the merchandising possibilities. T-shirts with an arrow pointing down, that simply say, “in utero™”

Back to Babs and Bo. They’re doing great, the transition was fine, although Bo misses the attention sometimes… You have to remember to pet the dog.

Bo is a good boy.

Babs is a good girl.
